Panthers Gives Thomas Davis A Two Year Extension
Panthers linebacker Thomas Davidson has been given a two-year extension with the team. The news regarding the extension was made publicly late Monday and it will see the 32-year old linebacker playing two more seasons for the Panthers.
It has been a crazy week for both the Panthers organization as well as Davis’ agents as the two have been working day and night so as to come up with a deal that will be in the interest for both Davis and the Panthers. Although the deal has been agreed upon, the financial terms under which it was signed are yet to released.
Before signing up for another contract, Davis was looking at increasing his earning but the team, the Panthers, were looking at cutting capping his earning so as to use the money to tweak their roaster even more. Whether that was what Davis got is yet to be known but for now we know that he will be with the Panthers for another two more seasons.
While speaking about the new contract extension that he had just landed, Davis said that he was very happy with the Panthers organization and the fact that he can be able to play for the team for an extra two seasons.
“I have always wanted to sing a new contract deal with the Panthers and it is actually something that I was looking forward to for a very long time. Now that I am in a position of finishing off my career at Panthers I am very happy,” said Davis.
